•May 24,1998 Match sponsored by the Spartanburg Kennel Club. Sadie won Best of Class, Best of Breed, and Group II. The judge was Mr. B. Flynn of Summerville, SC. Thank You! This was her first match, she was almost 3 months old! She got BoC and BoB by default, she was the only Basenji present. :o) The Group II was again a default, there were only two hounds competing. She lost to a seven month old Dachshund. Our first try, she did well. |

•July 25,1998 Match sponsored by the Greenville Kennel Club. Sadie won Best of Class. The judge is unknown at this time. Sadie won Best of Class again by default. There was, however, a 3 month old red puppy dog to compete against for group. The loss of the group ribbon really angered me. Sadie and I had been practicing often and I felt that Sadie did a much better job in the ring. The other puppy had to be virtually dragged around the ring at one point. It was a good looking puppy, I will admit that. But I felt that Sadie looked much better in the ring and deserved the win. Oh well, more practice and better luck next time! |

•September 13, 1998 Match sponsored by the Asheville Kennel Club. Sadie won Best of Class, Best of Breed, and Group IV. The judge was Mrs. T. Cordingley of Rutherfordton, NC. Thank you! Wow!!! I was really pleased by the results of this match! The BoC and BoB were again by default. However there was a fairly large showing for the Hound Group. Sadie got Group IV, beating three other dogs for the ribbon. I was very proud. We still have some work to do! But I went home very happy that day! |
